The
OECD is conducting this survey to learn more about your experiences in rideshare
and delivery. With support from Uber and Ipsos, we will survey over 10,000
drivers and couriers across France, the Netherlands, South Africa, the United
States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The
survey will run for several years (2022-24). We hope that you will consider
participating as often as possible, so that we can understand how you use
rideshare and delivery work today and in the future.
Why should I participate?
This survey
is part of the OECD’s Future
of Work initiative, which studies how the gig economy is changing working
conditions in different sectors and countries, and helps countries develop policies
to support gig workers within this fast-changing work environment.
By
sharing your personal experiences and opinions, you can play a role in
supporting gig workers and improving your and others’ day-to-day work conditions.
Uber will also be informed of the overall findings of the study, but they will
not see your individual responses.
What is the OECD?
The
OECD (the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and
Development) is an international organisation that
aims to shape policies that foster prosperity,
equality, opportunity and well-being for all. The OECD provides
a forum for countries to exchange policy experiences, identify good practices,
and seek answers to common problems, such as the impact of digitalisation
and globalisation on the quality of work.
What does the survey ask about?
The survey
asks questions about:
·
Your work with Uber/Uber Eats and other
rideshare/delivery apps and earnings from this
·
Any other work you do besides Uber/Uber Eats and
earnings from this
·
Any education/training you are undertaking
·
Your professional goals and your life more generally
How is my privacy protected?
Participation
in this survey is completely voluntary. Your answers will be held by Ipsos in the
strictest confidence and only anonymised data will be
shared with the OECD.
You can
find more information on how we are processing and protecting your personal
data in the survey privacy notice.
Where can I find results from this survey?
Summary
findings of the survey will be regularly published on this website. The first
survey results will be available later in 2022.
